
A NEW WAY OF FARMING

OBJECTIVE
Design and tune fresh mechanics to evolve the permanent crop loop that also blends into the existing economy to increase player’s engagement with it and open new avenues for revenue.
PROCESS

Achieved the goal by introducing 3 new consumables called Boosters into the game that blends in with the existing crop loop while evolving it.

This gave players some fresh variety and aspiration to their core actions while still being familiar and easy to pick up.

Designed 2 new permanent NPC characters and wrote a narrative arc to support the evolution of the Core Loops within FarmVille 2 lore.
RESULT

High feature completion.

Significantly increased crop loop player actions and engagement.

Generated substantial revenue from the new consumables and other sources due to the halo effect.
